This is a sneak peek into one of the new rooms we designed. The Luxury hotel will reopen in Summer 2022.
Right next to the opera house, on the shore of lake Zurich and in the vibrant Seefeld district, this small luxury hotel will be transformed into a unique boutique hotel of great international appeal.
Our vision is to create a landmark hotel that exudes the spirit of distant travels, that is inspired by the turn of the century style and infused by historically relevant design elements. A place for everyone to meet and enjoy a sophisticated lifestyle.
The room design is a lyrical interpretation of a voyager’s lifestyle at the turn of the century, not contrived yet utterly fresh, sophisticated and luxurious. The charming blend of avant-garde design and historically relevant and reinterpreted features such as marble and bronze elements, combined with bespoke furniture and custom lighting.

"A landmark hotel that exudes the spirit of distant travels and that is inspired by the turn of the century style!"
The aesthetic flare and materials are inspired by traditional elements, wood paneling and intricate craftsmanship merge seamlessly with colonial western influences to create an immersive interior that is timeless and modern. The furniture was designed with a modern approach in mind, combining function and aesthetics. It is complemented with loose furniture such as the high-quality armchair by manufacture Wittmann and a colonial-inspired desk and nightstands designed by us. The mini bar with wickerwork also custom-designed by our studio houses not only local gin from Zürich but also little accessories and books from distant places.
All the custom furnitures, lights and accessories are designed and realized with great attention to details, and reflect the spirit of luxury elements from the past such as large suitcase.
The bathroom is a luxurious sanctuary inspired by the turn of the century. We used the mosaic floors in a soft green tone with combination of beige. They were recreated based on the original mosaic floors found during construction.
On the walls, we opted for white glazed tiles with a decorative band-in old art nouveau tiles that create a beautiful canvas for the vanity.
The marble top vanity we designed provides all the amenities a guest would need during their stay. The sophisticated and timeless lines of Dornbracht Vaia were an ideal match for the fixtures.
