For the expansion and design of five existing and protected chalets in the historical part of the winter paradise, Le Verbier, we were inspired by the tremendous beauty of the Swiss Alps.  A holiday in the cosmopolitan destination Valais promises unique impressions, awakens breath-taking emotions, and offers unlimited diversity of experiences - characteristics we feel should also apply to the interior. 

Verbier is known for contrasts, opposites and unique experiences, which we have reflected in our design. Eye-catching gold accents at the in-house bar, the communal living and dining room and at the staircases create unexpectedly vibrant spaces that underscore the exceptionality here.  A palette of wood, metal and stone infuse the spaces with an atmosphere of relaxation, allowing one to reenergize for the next ski day. Luxurious apartments rise on the upper floors, whose interiors define the alpine life in a very sophisticated way.  Again, the raw materials are linked by carefully planned details.   

The spacious spa area, buried into the rock massif, which connects the traditional chalets underground, is characterized by the local stone Vert de Salvan: a natural, green stone, which dates from the time before the formation of the Alps. Floor-to-ceiling stone slabs complement the mountain scenery and bring a sense of nature into the interior.  A color gradient from dark green to light gray gives the pool the character of a natural water basin. Wood lamellas made of light oak along the ceiling bring the necessary addition of warmth, as well as provide a visual separation of the spaces. Our design combines tradition and comfort of a truly unique mountain experience.
