La Gassa
Centrally located in Flims, a well-known skiing destination in Switzerland, a new apartment building constructed with traditional timberwork was created in the heart of the charming old town.

This project transformed an under-performing sales apartment building into a highly desirable property, offering both contemporary comfort and alpine character. The design intervention focused on upgrading the building’s public areas with sophisticated, inviting spaces, while introducing two unique turnkey apartments that served as prototypes for the sale of the remaining units. These two apartments were fully built-out, carefully furnished, and stylishly decorated to showcase the potential of modern alpine living. Their completion provided a tangible example of the quality and design buyers could expect throughout the development.

The interiors skillfully blend traditional materials such as timber and natural stone with contemporary design elements, resulting in a fresh yet timeless aesthetic. This interpretation of classic alpine materials brings a cozy and comfortable atmosphere to each living space while maintaining a modern and state-of-the-art standard. Custom furnishings and high-quality interior finishes elevate the apartments, making them standout homes within the Flims ski resort region.

The apartments offer easy access to skiing, hiking, and local amenities, making them an ideal vacation home or permanent residence for lovers of mountain life. This project highlights the successful fusion of heritage craftsmanship and innovative interior design, reflecting Ina Rinderknecht’s signature approach to creating unique living environments.
With its central location, timber construction, and sophisticated interiors, the La Gassa apartments represent a perfect blend of tradition and modernity, designed for discerning residents seeking comfort and style in one of Switzerland’s most beloved alpine destinations.
