Orangerie
Our clients use their Orangerie - with its pool and lush gardens—as a space for entertaining family and friends. The brick building, encompassing a large open Living and Dining area, a small Kitchen, and two side Greenhouse wings, provided the perfect backdrop for our interior project.
Originally decorated in neutral beiges, the clients sought a reimagined space with a more elegant style and a bolder use of color. Drawing inspiration from the red brick exterior and winding garden paths, we developed a palette centered on a rich, rusty orange, complemented by crisp creams and dark wood accents.
We also designed several bespoke furniture pieces, including two large curio cabinets that anchor the space, a sculptural central table, art pedestals, an upholstered bench, and a new seating bench in one of the side Greenhouse rooms.
The curio cabinets display artifacts collected during the client’s travels, while the sculptural table and polished teak furnishings subtly reference nautical themes. Together, these influences create a truly unique atmosphere with in the Orangerie.
A sculptural touch of light illuminates the space, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere in the Orangerie.
The design draws on international travel, a contemporary take on colonial elements, tropical influences, and the world of super yachts.
In these wings, the client wanted serene, intimate settings with relaxed seating areas that celebrate the surrounding greenery. Above one bench, we installed a custom artwork composed of more than 30 paper garlands, evoking the sensation of sitting amidst flowers.
Set within a formal garden defined by tall hedges, the Orangerie opens gracefully into its surrounding landscape. Selective removal of planting near the pool created space for a sunlit lounge area, now softened by layers off lowering vegetation.
A refined palette of natural stone, warm timber, and light textiles brings visual cohesion to the outdoor spaces, bridging the character of the Orangerie with a subtle contemporary expression.
The poolside area is conceived as an integral part of the garden, dissolving boundaries and allowing movement to flow naturally between zones for rest and gathering.
Existing client-owned table reimagined with a bespoke stone top and elegant brass inlays, designed by our studio.
The open-air Dining Pavilion has been carefully updated with new furnishings and lighting, establishing a relaxed yet atmospheric setting for shared moments throughout the day.
In front of it, a new dining area on the lawn captures the last rays of the evening sun - an ideal spot for al fresco dining as the day draws to a close.
